General job tips

Expand your search outside of your preferred geographic area
  • There are many remote job opportunities now. It is worth looking at companies and organizations that are not based in areas where you want to live in case they have remote jobs available.
Use LinkedIn
  • Make sure you have a professional profile.
  • Build your professional network. Connect with other students, colleagues, mentors, etc.
  • Follow people who are in jobs that look interesting to you or who work in places you are interested in working at. This way you will see any jobs they post in their feeds.
  • Use the "jobs" feature to search for opportunities. You can search using specific locations and  search terms to help identify jobs that you might be interested in.
